Arts in the Park Music Series

Each year the Oil City Arts Council presents summer concerts free of charge in Justus Park. A variety of musical styles are presented to appeal to all ages. Performers for all concerts are selected with children and families in mind. Bring your lawn chair and join us! Donations are gratefully accepted!

Jolly July 3rd Festival
July 3, 2019, 5:00 - 10:00 pm
Justus Park

Join the Arts Council as we celebrate the Fourth at our Jolly July 3rd Festival. Special appearances will be made by Snoopy and Woodstock, Superwoman and Wonder Woman, clowns, a stilt walker, a juggler, face-painters, and caricaturists! Additionally, Jungle Terry's Traveling Zoo and Cap'n Kidz Pirate Show will both be on site. Food and craft vendors will have booths set up throughout the park, and musicians will perform live all night long. The night's festivities are detailed below.

  • 5:00 - 8:00 pm: Children's activities: Superheroes, clowns, animals, pirates and more!
  • 5:00 - 5:40 pm: Cap'n Kidz Pirate Show #1
  • 5:30 - 6:30 pm: Live Music: Mostly Brass
  • 5:40 - 6:20 pm: Jungle Terry's Traveling Zoo Show #1
  • 6:30 - 7:10 pm: Cap'n Kidz Pirate Show #2
  • 7:00 - 7:40 pm: Jungle Terry's Traveling Zoo Show #2
  • 7:00 - 10:00 pm: Live Music: The Breeze Band
  • 10:00 pm: Spectacular Pyrotecnico Fireworks Display sponsored by the Oil City Firefighters Local 700

Saturday, July 20, 2019
Justus Park, 4:00 - 8:00 pm

Oil City Arts Council has partnered with FLEX (Future Leaders and Entrepreneurs Exchange) and the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce to support the Oil Heritage Festival Bike 'n Brew. The event, hosted by FLEX, includes biking and outdoor activities from 10 - 4 pm, a brewfest from 5 - 8 pm, food vendors, and live entertainment sponsored by the Arts Council. Entertainment includes Bryan Schwab Jr. and the Static Gypsies, playing from 4:00 - 5:30 pm and Cult Classics, playing from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
